Digital PR Manager

Your Role

To take intermittent fasting mainstream through creative digital content that is amplified by influential journalists and their publications. We are currently seeking a hands on digital PR Manager to plan, develop and execute our PR strategy with a focus on the US market to generate data-driven PR ideas, pitch them to journalists, build relationships and reach millions of people through our content.

The role is brand new to our business and will see you establish strategy and digital PR processes from the ground upwards.

The role will see you report directly to our Senior Brand Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan, develop and implement our PR strategy
• Manage and create important PR processes including media coverage tracking, media relationship management, asset management, press room updates etc
• Use data from media tracking tools, proven processes, and your creative intuition to find, quantify, and prioritize ideas and narratives that could be successful
• Take ownership of projects to help build favourability and coverage of Fastic in media across the US
• Regularly reviewing media to find and suggest opportunities to profile
• Reporting on progress of PR plans
• Organize thematic team brainstorms to generate great content ideas
• Developing and maintaining strong media relationships across the health, lifestyle industries
• Perform simple analysis of data to generate statistics and insights for use in content ideas
• Draft persuasive, succinct pitch emails and briefs for journalists
• Build relationships with journalists in order to get feedback on ideas and proactive requests
• Schedule and monitor sequenced mass-email campaigns to journalists leading up to the launch of a campaign
• Obsess over measuring every part of our process, keeping what’s working, and improving what isn’t, providing analysis and reports to management
• Collaborate with the content, marketing, design and the engineering teams

Essential Requirements

• 2-5 years working experience as a Public Relations Specialist
• BSc/BA in PR, communications, journalism or similar relevant field
• A proven track record of successful digital PR campaigns, earning valuable backlinks etc
• Experience of media relations and pitching stories to the media
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Aptitude in presentation and public speaking
• Excellent copywriting skills for drafting succinct, persuasive, personal email templates
• Process-driven: thrives on creating and maintaining process
• Very comfortable using digital tools like spreadsheets, chrome extensions, CRM’s, etc.
